Mr. Rizwan Iqbal has more than seven years of professional experience working for non-governmental organizations and businesses in Asia and Europe. He specialises in organizational development and capacity building of humanitarian organizations on Sphere and HAP Standard. He has practical experience in designing context specific training sessions for in-country and international trainings. He also has the capacity to co-facilitate Training of Trainers (ToT). His practical experience in mainstreaming quality and accountability; and provision of technical guidance to organizations in south-Asia region could help organizations in taking practical actions to practice their commitment to improve quality and increase accountability within their systems.
He has conducted more than 25 trainings for I/NGOs in Pakistan and the Asia region in the last three years on Sphere Minimum Standards and HAP Standards, as a co-facilitator and also led a few in-country trainings. He also trained on HAP Standard. He oversaw the translation of Sphere Handbook Edition 2011 in Urdu language. Further he remained part of implementing several emergency and long-term projects and contributed in several internal and external reviews, accountability audits, and evaluation studies.
His experience also includes working with individuals from diverse cultures in more than 18 countries around the world. Currently he works in the Strengthening Humanitarian Assistance (SHA) department of Church World Service – Pakistan/Afghanistan as Project Coordinator.
