Ground Truth Solutions conducts perception surveys to better understand the perception of refugees who receive humanitarian assistance in Uganda. This is in line with GTS mission to include the voices and preferences of affected people into humanitarian programming and design.
Prior to conducting data collection, Ground Truth identifies and conducts training for enumerators to be involved in conducting surveys. The training is structured around key Refugee Response Documentation, service delivery (and expectations), and involvement of refugees in the project cycle.
The training course is interactive, drawing on participants’ experiences and knowledge. It is about putting recipients of aid at the center of programming and is focused on ways of collecting/getting programmatic perspectives and perceptions from individuals receiving assistance from multiple sectors. Findings are thereafter shared with humanitarian organisations to help them design and monitor their humanitarian programmes.
