Sphere Training of Trainers, Gazientep, Turkey 15-19 April 2024

As IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, we would like to thank you for your interest in the Sphere Standards Training we organized in January. Now, we are happy to announce that we will organize Sphere Trainer Training in our Gaziantep office between 15-19 April 2024, again in partnership with Korea NGO Council for Overseas Development (KCOC).

The Sphere Initiative, first launched in 1997, set the framework for the Humanitarian Charter and defined the five main sectors where minimum standards for humanitarian and disaster relief should be applied. Today, the Sphere Initiative is an international community working to improve the quality, credibility and accountability of humanitarian work. In the aftermath of the February 2023 earthquakes, we have identified the need for capacity building in humanitarian aid work in our country. For this reason, with the Sphere Standards Training, we aimed to strengthen the capacities of organizations that actively worked in the field of humanitarian aid, especially during the February 2023 earthquakes. With the Sphere Trainer Training we are organizing, we aim to support the spread of the Sphere philosophy by pioneering the training of more Sphere trainers in our country.

Prerequisite: Completion of Sphere Standards Training. (Training completed online will also be valid. Online training can be accessed free of charge on the Sphere website)

Training Details: April 15-19, 2024. IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation Gaziantep International Coordination Office. Participation in the training is free of charge and transportation and accommodation will be covered by the participants. The training language will be Turkish.
