LAMB is a faith based organization that provides values based, service driven and excellent care to marginalized communities. LAMB is working in North West Bangladesh to provide accessible and high quality health care and development to local communities especially women, children and those living in poverty. Lamb Bangladesh has earned a national and international reputation for its integrated health approach.
LAMB Bangladesh emphasizes on delivery of quality projects with accountability. To ensure the quality and accountability of their projects, LAMB Bangladesh is willing to adhere to the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS), reflecting the CHS commitments and Sphere standards in different stages of their projects. With a view to create a better understanding of the CHS and Sphere standards among its staffs, LAMB Bangladesh in partnering with Tearfund, would like to organize a training on Sphere standards and CHS. A basic orientation on Red Cross code of conduct will be provided too.
Foundation for Disaster Forum (popularly known as Disaster Forum) is a Dhaka based National Disaster Preparedness Network of seventy humanitarian and development agencies, research institutions, government departments and independent activists who are working on various disaster and environmental issues with special focus on preparedness and community based Disaster Risk Reduction since 1994.
Disaster Forum is well recognized among the humanitarian and development community disseminating Sphere Standards in Bangladesh and South Asia. Disaster Forum translated all the versions of Sphere Handbook in Bangla in 2003, 2008, 2011 and 2018 (ongoing) and conducted a series of Sphere training and orientation focused on enhancing skills of humanitarian workers to apply Sphere standards through capacity building events as well as knowledge sharing.
Foundation for Disaster Forum is going to facilitate the training which is organized by LAMB Bangladesh with support from Tearfund from 20 to 21 September, 2022, in Parbatipur, Dinajpur.
The objective of the training is to improve the understanding of Sphere Standards and CHS and provide orientation on Red Cross code of conduct.
