Disaster management training, Daraa, Syria, 10-14 February 2024

To enhance their capabilities and experience in disaster response, 31 volunteers within the #Syrian_Arab_Red_Crescent branch in #Daraa received a 5-day training course on disaster management.

The training focused on many aspects, most notably the definition of disaster, explaining the concept of disaster preparedness, and how to analyze risks during them, in addition to how to deal with life-saving sectors: (food security, shelter provision, water and sanitation, and health in emergencies). It also addressed Sphere and RFL.
