The training was attended by 24 individuals from 14 local and national non-governmental organizations in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that most participants (17 people) had an average and high level of knowledge on the training topic. Participants demonstrate a high level of knowledge in the following training topics at the pre-testing stage: the humanitarian charter, the contexts in which the Sphere approaches are applied, the responsibility of organizations to the affected population.
According to the results of the training, the participants best learned what the Sphere is, what parts the manual consists of, what the Core Humanitarian Standard is and what is the purpose of the WASH program in humanitarian response. It is also worth noting that most participants at the end of the training already correctly determined that the “Sphere” manual consists of two main sections: fundamental and technical. “Sphere” combines many meanings, it is a movement, a community, a manual, and a project, but first of all “Sphere” is an approach to providing assistance to the affected population.
This training included introduction and team building exercises before and after class each day. This was done because participants asked to create new contacts and professional connections for them. This created a positive and trusting atmosphere at the beginning and throughout the training.
Each of the participants received a “Sphere” manual. The training program and active work with the manual helped the participants to better understand the feasibility of its practical use in their work. The training was attended mostly by participants who have significant experience in the humanitarian field. The training helped the participants to better structure their knowledge and exchange practical experience. Each participant received a certificate of completion of the three-day training on “Sphere”.
