MPBI advocates for the use of international humanitarian standards in Indonesia by supporting the National Standards Agency in developping Indonesia National Standards on Humanitarian Response, the National Professional Working Competence on Disaster Management and in the National Law on Disaster Management.
MPBI promotes the use of Sphere standards towards government authorities such as the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Public Work, and Ministry of Health Affairs, while it introduces Sphere to volunteers and humanitarian workers through disaster learning events.
