Description
BIFERD est une ONG nationale fondée en 2004, basée à Goma, qui a pour mission de réduire la vulnérabilité et la pauvreté chez les populations affectées par les conflits touchant les provinces du Kivu. BIFERD mène diverses activités de consolidation de la paix tout en développant des projets de réponse dans les domaines de l’eau, l’assainissement, la sécurité alimentaire, la santé et la protection. BIFERD est membre des différents UN clusters et en tant que Point Focal Sphère promeut activement l’utilisation des standards humanitaires en RDC.
Depuis 2017, l’organisation jouit d’un statut consultatif auprès des Nations Unies (ECOSOC).
